On a rather windy day, which generally didn’t seem to affect scoring, 18 players braved the cool and the occasional showers for the August league day. Evelyn Heath was a clear winner, but places 2 to 7 were very close, being separated by less than a stroke – slight variations in handicap were all that decided it. That’s probably the closest outcome we’ve ever seen.
