The Melbourne Disc Golf is celebrating 10 years as a club in 2018 and we would like you to celebrate with us. To that end, we are running a special membership drive / fund raiser. Our goal is to have 100 members by the end of our first League Day on February 17. We are appealing to all past members, family, friends and the wider disc golf community to help us achieve this. The money raised, and the increased membership numbers will be used to promote disc golf throughout the year and lobby for grants and new and upgraded local courses. Please help if you can. We have several membership options available. They are listed below. The most popular option for those wishing to support the club’s fund raising appeal will be the supporters membership.
This is a special membership for 2018 aimed at friends of the Melbourne Disc Golf Club locally and abroad who do not expect to play many rounds but would like to help support MDGC during this exciting year. It includes a limited edition commemorative bag tag / luggage identifier, a club patch and reusable score card. It allows for entry to up to 3 league day rounds and the handicapped competition but does not include entry into the raw score competition or the bag tag challenge. It also does not include voting rights or the eligibility to hold a board position. There will also be opportunities throughout the year to win prizes through lucky tag draws and we are planning a supporter’s appreciation day mid-year sometime. This social event will include but not be limited to Disc Golf (did I hear Corn-holin?) It will be a fun family day which will be catered by Brunsting & Co. If you don’t know what that means, then just ask around.
For those who intend to fully participate in club league days, the full and Jnr memberships are your best option. Full and Jnr members can also receive the commemorative bag tag and other benefits of the supporter’s membership for a small up charge. Simply contact Jeff Brunsting some time after you have purchase the standard membership.
