March League Day
With many absent for the ‘Two Heads” tournament in Tasmania, our numbers were down at Melbourne League yesterday however we still had 17 enjoy the morning round and 13 in the afternoon. Twenty unique players.
It was a great day with some impressive results. Winning league day for March was 12-year-old Max Cornelius who first played league in November last year. It is clear he has been practising because he improved by a massive 43 points on his November round score! Wow! He bought his younger brother, Mitchell along for a game as well. Nine-year-old Mitchell was hot on his heels throwing 79 on our par 56 course in his first ever recorded round! I can’t wait to see how these boys progress.
The top raw score during the morning round was 49 (7 under par) by David Perry. Not to be outdone, Ryan Budge stepped up his game a notch to equal that score during the afternoon round.
CTP during the morning round was won by Ollie Brock. During the afternoon round, there was a last-minute battle for CTP but Ryan Budge took away the honour with a parked disc on hole 1.
It was also great to see a few players who have been absent for a while. Blaise Northey who we first met at Aspendale came second in the handicap league and Addison Heath returned after a two-year break from league to throw a personal best.
