April League Day
Beautiful Autumn weather greeted us for our April league day at Ruffey Lake Park yesterday and despite some club members being away for the Easter break, we had a great turnout with 27 players. 26 played during the morning and 13 during the afternoon round. We had a few players, visiting from the US plus we saw the return of some club members from years past. Welcome back! Our club is growing. So far this year we have had 53 unique players attend our league days.
Mike Spangenberg won the league handicap event – he threw 57 with a handicap of 14 for a net score of 43. Well done Mike.

Mike Williams (returning to league after a few years absence) won the morning CTP and Caelen Haramis the afternoon CTP. Both on hole 9. Mike was about 3m from the basket, Caelen around 2m.
The best raw score for the day was an impressive 44 (10 under par) by Patty Robinson. Just 2 off the course record.
Our league days are a great social event and it is great to see the development of our new players and to see our sport growing in popularity.
Our next League event will be held at Stony Creek Reserve in Yarraville on Saturday 25th May. A full 18 hole course will be set up for the day. Keep an eye on our Facebook events for more information closer to the event.
