It started out as a promising looking warm, sunny day and although the sun didn’t disappoint, the wind decided to make sure this was a challenging day.

Given the conditions, the scores were a bit higher than usual but there were still some hot rounds to be had. Off scratch, Joel Paton shot a 4 under par 52 to claim the #1 bag tag by 1 stroke and Allen Brunsting had a personal best of 59 (47 with handicap) to not only take out the MDGC’s October league day but to just squeak in front of his father Jeff to lead the league ladder for the year.

With only two points separating 1st and 2nd for the year, the “Melbourne Cup”, MDGC’s final league day for 2013, should be a cracker. We hope to see you there
