The July League day was a great success. Thanks to everyone who came out to play. It was fantastic to see 3 or 4 new players. The Heath family was very well represented with 4 members in attendance. I think that the news of the shorter course with all baskets being in a closer proximity helped to encourage Carol, Addison and Evelyn to play. That is one of the things we are hoping to achieve with the new layout so tell your family and friends. I believe that it was the first time Evelyn played a full round. She did great with a score of 127. Keep up the good work. The MDGC hopes that everyone enjoyed the new layout. Although the holes are reasonably short there is enough technicality to it to challenge the seasoned players. The positions of the 3 portable baskets are where we are planning to propose to place permanent baskets to complete the 9 hole course. We would appreciate any feedback. Congratulations to co first place getters David Heath and Fergie. It was Fergie’s first League Day win. He shot a 46 raw with a 3 handicap. Great work! There was not much movement in the bags tags at the top. The three top spots held their tags with Josh retaining the #1 tag. We look forward to seeing everyone and more at the August League Day.
