The August league day was once again a lot of fun and well attended. We had 20 people including the crew who came from Geelong. It is always good to see them. There were new players who had not played on this course if at all previously. It is great to see new people that are brought in by club members. Keep up the good work in growing the sport. Congratulations to Nate Field who had a great round and taking out first place for the August League day with a score of 84 which converted to a 39 with his handicap. Well done Nate. You will get 10 MDGC club dollars when the mint reopens soon. The other recent league day winners will also receive theirs. Nate was followed by Ian Bycroft and Allen Brunsting in 2nd and 3rd. The league ladder is being closely contested by Oli on 545 points and Tarron on 529. It’s tight at the top. Below these two are Greg, David H and Racim around the 400 mark. With several league days to play yet, anything can happen. There were some significant changes in bag tags with Oli trading in an 11 for a 5 and Ian receiving the No. 7 tag for his 33 after a blinder of a round of 51. We look forward to seeing everyone and more at the September League Day.
