Calling all Women’s disc golfers!  The Women’s Global Event is just weeks away and it is an event you should not miss.

This biennial event continues to break records as the largest PDGA event for a single demographic within the sport of disc golf.  In 2018 there were 80 registered tournaments, spanning 14 countries with a combined turnout of 2092 women competing in 23 different PDGA divisions. We can break that record again in 2021!

How It Works

On May 8th and 9th, women from all around the world will play two rounds of disc golf at their local participating PDGA Women’s Global Event. Scores from the first two rounds of each participating tournament will be submitted by the individual tournament directors and rated by the PDGA.  Junior girls (12 and under will need to complete just one round).  These round ratings will be totalled and averaged to determine the player’s “Global Score.”  The global results will be updated throughout the day to determine our PDGA Women’s Global Event Champions and the winner in each division will receive a memorable trophy.

It does not matter if you are seasoned player or an absolute beginner.  The WGE celebrates all women disc golfers.  We would love to see as many Aussie women and girls as possible participating in their local events.  For those of you in Melbourne, our closest WGE event, hosted by Geelong Disc Golf, is at Barwon Valley Disc Golf Course in Geelong and will be held on Saturday 8th May.  It will be a fun day with lots of great prizes and a generous players pack for all registered women players.  You can register for the Geelong event here.

Come on ladies.  Get involved and join the fun.  This event is for you!
