The Westgate Cup is an annual inter-club challenge between the Melbourne and Geelong Disc Golf Clubs.  This takes the form of match play with various combinations of singles and doubles.  Each team is comprised of 8 players, the only restriction being that each team must have at least one female player.

The event alternates between Melbourne and Geelong courses and this year will be held on February 29^th at Bald Hill Park in Clarinda.

For each club, the team captain selects the players and only those people will play on the day.  Due to the speed of play in a match play event, there is no scope for others to play alongside the main competition as many matches will end prior to the final hole with one player ahead and many holes will be conceded and not putted out.  The event moves significantly more quickly than individual disc golf.
