Results for July league day
We had a great turnout for the 2018 July League Day with 28 people braving the cold to play at Ruffey Lake Disc Golf Park. There were some great rounds recorded. Patty Robinson set a new league day course record with a 9 under 47. 49 recorded by both Paul Arden and Cameron Ford had fantastic scores of 49 and eight other players threw under par!
The handicap league winner for July was Chris Eltringham with 47.9. Congratulations Chris.
The closest to the pin award this month went to Patrick Utri who has become a regular at Ruffey Lake Park. Welcome to Melbourne Disc Golf Patrick.
We also had an ace this month. Congratulations to Emma Winkworth for throwing an ace on hole 8. We hear that it was totally unexpected with a high drive that Emma expected to sail straight past the basket but there was a little ‘tree love’ and Emma’s disc landed securely in the basket. An ace is an ace and we couldn’t be happier for you.
Lunch time activities included Cornhole and the usual shenanigans. We had a few new players this month which was great to see. New players are always welcome at MDGC.
